Film opening research #1- Good Burger

 How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film? 

Only two titles were displayed during the opening sequence of the film. It was nickelodeon and Paramount pictures. The nickelodeon one has a background with a drink moving around fast and spills and the word nickelodeon comes out. The paramount pictures one is showed with a burger bun being covered in all condiments including ketchup onions, cheese and meat. 

What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? 
The image of a man standing in front of a cash register with a food menu shows he is working at a restaurant.

What connotations do the images carry? 
This helps give a first person view of someone ordering food from the good burger restaurant.

How is genre reinforced through symbolic and technical codes from the outset? 
The comedy genre is reinforced by starting out with the worker using a funny tone in his voice to talk and when grabbing the bag of food the burger comes to life out of the bag and talks to the worker.

How does the film establish an enigma from the outset? 
The film establishes an enigma from the outset because you are unsure why does the worker seen to see all the burgers come to life and have a full conversation while the lady waits for her food.

What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? 
The film uses funny actors, funny word choice, scenery and make believe events that could never happen seem very funny throughout the movie to keep our attention on the burgers talking.

How has technology been used effectively? You might want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques?
Technology has been used effectively in this movie with the camera effects that give off the effect that the burgers are actually alive while moving and talking like humans. Also using smoke steam that is coming off the burgers to show that they are hot and more smoke is given off when the burgers get mad. The camera angels get good shots of the worker becoming very shocked when the burgers talk.

Preparing to film

 Actors- Theresa and Peter are the athletes and Courtney is the FGCU scout. Costumes- Theresa and Peter will wear their baseball and softball uniform and Courtney will wear FGCU clothing gear. Props- Softball/baseball bats, gloves, cleats, balls, and cleats for the athletes. Clipboard with paper for FGCU scout. Location- Lely High School baseball and softball field, the bleachers and tables by the field. Date and Time- We will be filming during this class period around 11 this Friday of this week.  Scripts- Theresa and Peter will talk about who the lady is in the bleachers watching our practice. Then it will have clips of Courtney (scout) talking to both athletes about college and the rest will just be background music. Film Equipment- We will use Theresa's phone too record so that once we finish, we can edit on the same device.
